Caramondani Engineers is proud to have
contributed towards the development of
the infrastructure of Cyprus, as well as the rebuilding and expansion of its economy
after the 1974 Turkish invasion, by equipping
efficiently engineered hotels, food industries,
cold rooms, hospitals, stadiums, sewage
treatment plants, irrigation networks, pumping
stations, dams, airports ports, power stations,
HV switch yards, cement factories, desalination
plants and many other projects.
Its diverse portfolio of works, along with the
many innovative projects it completed during
this time, have led to valuable know-how and
experience which in turn justify its slogan
“You can depend on us”.
The company’s prime objective is to ensure
long-term growth through innovation,
technological expertise and continuously
improved customer service. To achieve this
objective, it endeavors to ensure a balanced
and harmonious development of its human

Milestones & Innovations
1960
First central air conditioning installation, King George Hotel, Famagusta.
1961
Construction of the first hot water solar heating panel.
1965-68
Central air conditioning and electrical installations of the first modern hotel of Cyprus, Grecian Hotel, Famagusta.
1969
Installations of the first heated swimming pool, Asterias Hotel, Famagusta.
1970
First central air conditioning installations in a church, Ayia Triada, Famagusta.
1971-73
M&E works of the largest hotel complex of Cyprus, Golden Sands, Famagusta.
1973
First and only Cypriot participation in the first desalination tender for the brackish Mesaoria waters. Import of the first desalination unit from California, USA.
1977
First floodlighting of any stadium in Cyprus, Makarios Stadium, Nicosia.
1978
Erection of the first satellite antenna, diameter 33m, Kakoratzia.
1979-80
First central medical gases installations, Intensive Care Units, Nicosia and Limassol General Hospitals.
1981-82
Air conditioning and all M&E works of the first two modern hospitals of Cyprus, Makarios III Hospital and Larnaca General Hospital. Central Medical Gases installation of Larnaca General Hospital.
1985
Supply and erection of the process machinery and equipment of the first modern slaughterhouse of Cyprus, Kophinou.
1985
Installations of the largest swimming pool of Cyprus, Le Meridien, Limassol.
1989
Supply and installation of the first semi-automatic and automatic parking systems in Cyprus.
1992-94
Erection of gas turbines 3 & 4 (Thomassen International) including 132kV cable installations, Moni Power Station.
1993-95
Supply and installation of 6 pumping stations max. cap. 4.461 m3/hr @ 36m, Sewerage Board of Limassol Amathus, Limassol.
1996
M&E works and erection of Dhekelia Desalination Plant, the first reverse osmosis sea water desalination plant, 40.000 m3/day, a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) BOOT contract of Caramondani Desalination Plants Ltd.
1996
All mechanical works of the first water park of Cyprus, WaterWorld, Ayia Napa.
1999
High voltage works of the largest power station in Cyprus, Vasilikos Power Station.
2003-05
Erection of Power Generation Unit Νο. 3, 120 MW, Vasilikos Power Station.
2007-09
M&E works of the new Dhekelia Desalination plant, 40.000 m3/day and its extension to 60.000m3/day.
2017-23
Mechanical works of the 170m, 37-floor ONE Tower, Limassol. (J/V Caramondani Bros -Air Control).
